Is Africa a Country or a Continent-Subconscious or Design thinking?

Often, it shows how ignorant the West is when it comes to the Continent,
and how a basic high school or grammar school geography has become impediment and
is impacting foreign investment in Africa. This misnomer of whether a country
or continent is more prevalent in the United States.
Recently, I was
discussing with a group of investors to build an assembly plant in Nigeria, and
I was surprised to see how the project was immediately diminished in size and
scope with Africa being viewed as a country. Even with a global map in hand, it
took a lot of convincing to explain to the group that Africa is a continent.
Africa is the second largest continent in the world, and most African country’s
GDP is growing faster than most western countries. There are 54 United Nation
recognized countries in Africa.
